Job Description

Overall Duties

Drive creative thinking and collaboration between departments to continue to build a best-in-class brand.
Ensure that ideas live seamlessly across platforms.
Deliver on club specific and department specific KPI’s.
Deliver on partners deliverables and KPI’s.
Support ticketing to maximize tickets sales.
Oversee department budgets.

Based on club brand strategy, develop overarching visual and production strategy for Apple partnerships.
Ensure Apple deliverables are not only best in class but also delivered on time.
Ensure our broadcast team leverages the app for broadcasting and monetizing our content.
Ensure our broadcast teams service our local broadcast partners.
Guide the match day presentation teams to ensure that the look and feel of the club’s creative lives seamlessly in stadium, partner deliverables are activated on within the look and feel and atmosphere of not only the look and feel of the club but energetic atmosphere of matchday.

Creative + Content

Oversee the club’s creative development (design / look + feel / ideation) based on overarching club strategy and brand specific strategy.
Oversee club’s creative / content / social strategy development to ensure we deliver on strategy for the club, partners, ticketing among other departments to maximize engagement and revenue.
Deliver on club specific KPI’s and partner KPI’s

Creative Services

Oversee the club creative services department in conjunction with creative resources manager.
Deliver on club specific KPI’s and partner KPI’s.

Other Areas

Maintain strong communication among cross-functional teams (Partnerships, Communications, Sporting, etc.) to ensure alignment of vision and implementation.
Successfully meet aggressive timelines and proactively address bottlenecks.
Ability to oversee and delegate responsibilities to potential third parties, freelancers and contributors, as needed.
Maintain a high degree of quality assurance on organizational sites.
Proactively identify areas for improvement.
Use data insights and cultural insights to drive decision making.
Execute marketing campaigns for team partners/sponsors.
Leads department staff including Broadcast, Creative, Content, Design, Digital, Matchday, & Social.
Works with Marketing and Sales teams to increase revenue through ticket sales and sponsorship initiatives as well as fulfilling digital media needs for internal departments.
Other duties as required.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of relevant experience leading a creative department.
Exceptional visual / creative skills.
Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite.
Manage large-scale projects, from concept to completion including recaps.
Agency experience a plus (working in new business pitches in an agency also beneficial)
Sports experience a plus (MLS specifically but not mandatory)
Exceptional knowledge and passion for sports
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline driven atmosphere.
Ability to maintain strong working relationships with all internal staff and management .
Must be detail-orientated, ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely and professional manner, be well organized and able to prioritize efficiently, and take initiative.
Must stay abreast of trends and issues in soccer and sports.
Ability to work extended hours and weekends and holidays when required.
